WTF are you talking about. It came out on PS3 today as well.
@darthv
Estranged summed it up, but I'd also add that I thnk GT4's sales would have been FAR higher if not for the fact that alot of GT fans like myself ended up not buying GT4 even though it was (and is) by far the best and most complete Gran Turismo.
Reason was the online age of gaming had started and racing game fans were among the early adopters of console gaming online. NASCAR 2004 is probably the first online racing game on PS2 after the networ...
I guess I'm the only person who LOVED Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. Obviously the SNES version is stilll the best due to the extra content and in a game like this content is KING, but I like Re-Shelled better than the original arcade version since it's the same content and I do prefer the gameplay of Re-Shelled. My problem with Re-Shelled was that since they were taking liberties anyway, why not take the opportunity to add more content? The original was long enough for arcades, but not ...
If by chance you see this, since you said RAGE 2 a little fun-fact, RAGE DLC is coming out next week.
The "Dream Games" for me are pretty easy to think up.
#1 A TRUE Next-Gen or Next-Level Monster Hunter. Amazing graphic detail to the point you see the scales breaking off and see the bare meat underneath. Awesome weather effects with wind driven particles like leaves, fog and dust, rain drops hitting the Wyverns/monsters and making splashing effects and and dripping and making surfaces glisten properly. My point is, the gameplay and content are there and damn-near p...
Actually Ck, the biggest sellers this generation, at least at retail, have been the old stand-bys. CoD, GTA, Gran Turismo, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Elder Scrolls, Street Fighter, FF, Mario. Sure there have been a couple/few stand-out new IPs like AC and Mass Effect that had really stellar sales, but for the most part, the biggest sellers this gen were by IPs that have been with us for a while.
I'm sure Plus will still be there for launch on PS4. I obviously doubt PS4 content day 1 (but who knows, Sony is pretty generous), but Plus will still be getting PS3 and PSN content for sure. PSN (or SEN if you prefer) is now well established, it's not going to be torn down and started anwe for PS4. It's going to be the same PSN, same IDs and all that. So I'm sure (unless Sony hardware designers are stupid), all Digital PS3 content will work on PS4.
Hopefully ...
Just so everyone knows, Activision is NEVER giving up the Spyro brand. At least not in the near future, or at least not full rights. Because maybe as older gamers, we're ignorant to what's popular with little kid gamers (meaning 10-11 and under), but I recently read an article about how much money is being made with the Skylanders video game and toy tie-in franchise and it blew my mind. I've been seeing these displays everywhere for a couple years, and just thought it was some stu...
I totally agree that Hearthfire is stupid (imo) and Dawnguard is over-priced by alot and isn't even all that interesting.
But there is one part of Dawnguard that I WISH I had on PS3. It's the only part about that whole DLC I care about even slightly. The skill tree for the Werewolf form.
I honestly think that should just be patched into the PS3 version of the game for free as a "make-good" for all the ball-busting on getting the DLC to the ...
The author missed WWE WrestleFest for consoles. Between that and Guardians of Middle Earth, I don't know which I'm more excited to own finally.
Can someone copy n paste the Vita deals zodiac mentioned? The site's not working for me, just getting an error. I've been waiting to get a Vita until I could get a good deal on a brand new 3G one.
I was going to get the AC or CoD bundle but they don't come with the 3G version.
FINALLY !!! A date !!!
This will be the first wrestling game I've actually bought since the PS1 days.
I meant *if the game launches in MARCH and the beta starts in late Jan/early Feb..........*
It's disappointing for two very big reasons. In my mind anyway, maybe your minds think differently.....most people's do. (keep in mind, this is all coming from the view of a console only gamer for the most part)
1) And this is the biggest reason for me. I WANT TO PLAY NOW!!!! I would rather spend this holiday season play FF14 Beta, than any game coming out this holiday. And this is more than just a beta to me as well. It's a gameplay test of a game that's goin...
Some disappointing info too though. No beta till Jan or Feb? Ouch !!
IDK, I honestly think that Demon's Souls and Dark Souls' multi-players would have been MUCH better if they were done in a more traditional manner. They were good for sure, and different. But I think they would have been better if you could just join up with other people and your friends like any other co-op game.
My personal favorite's this gen are
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift
Sacred 2 Fallen Angel
Killzone 2/3
Castle Crashers ...
You're an idiot, plain and simple. You're a cry baby. And you just completely make stuff up to try and make a point, which means you're full of crap.
You aren't going to reply anymore because you're out of accounts, and out of replies. Did you even realise you sent me the same message with 2 different accounts? LOL
Name me some games this generation with "game-breaking glitches". Some examples please. I'd love to hear ALL th...
WTF is up with you and that other guy going off about glitches, in an article about "the price of gaming, then and now"?
You're complaining about glitches on an article that has nothing to do with glitches, and you're going to tell me you aren't a person who complains just to complain?
But I'll bite once again. I'll repeat myself in shorter form: Glitches have always been in gaming, and they always will be (until YOU develop your...
I'm suggesting the ratio of games that have real game breaking bugs if far smaller today than it was, and when there are problems today, they tend to get patched. Something that NEVER happened in the past.
Another example of why gaming now is a far better value than it was in the past. And another example of why you and many other gamers today have major entitlement issues and tend to complain just for the sake of complaining instead of appreciating what you've got si...
IMO, the problem isn't CoD....a game is a game, nothing more. The problem is the bandwagon jumping mentality of alot of people, and the fact that they continually buy the product.
For me, I've been done with CoD4 since CoD4. That was the last CoD I've bought. They've all just been expansions since then. Though I did rent W@W to try out the zombies mode everyone was so hyped up about. But that was the end of my relationship with CoD until perhaps some time in t...
